Prawaas 5.0 concludes, Celebrating BOCI’s 10th anniversary

Prawaas 5.0 concluded in Gandhinagar after three days of exhibitions, conferences and networking, celebrating BOCI's 10th anniversary. The event attracted over 20,000 registrations, 227 exhibitors and mobility stakeholders from across India and 11 countries.

Prawaas 5.0 concluded in Gandhinagar after three days of exhibitions, conferences, awards and networking, reaffirming its position as one of India’s leading platforms for the passenger transport industry. The event also marked the 10th anniversary of the Bus & Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI), bringing together policymakers, transport operators, vehicle manufacturers, technology providers and other mobility stakeholders from across India and overseas.

The concluding day was attended by Gujarat Transport Minister Pravinbhai Mali, who visited the exhibition and interacted with exhibitors and industry representatives. Ahmedabad Member of Parliament Dineshbhai Makwana also attended the event.

This year’s edition recorded 20,129 registrations, featuring 227 exhibitors, 20 startups, 15 conference sessions, and 120 speakers, with participation from 31 states and union territories and 11 countries. Conference discussions focused on key industry topics, including electrification, policy reforms, multimodal connectivity, financing, digital transformation, road safety, tourism mobility, insurance, driver skilling and startup-led innovation.

The valedictory session was attended by BOCI leadership, including Chairman Jagdeo Singh Khalsa, President Prasanna Patwardhan, National Vice President Alah Baksh Afzal, General Secretary Dharmaraj D. R., Treasurer Harsh Kotak, Prawaas 5.0 Convenor Siddiq Gandhi, and Jagdish Patankar, Executive Chairman of MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Pvt. Ltd.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Rotary International District 3080. The first, signed with BOCI Naari, aims to promote the skilling, licensing, employment and self-ownership of women as professional drivers. The second focuses on enhancing driver mental well-being and promoting road safety awareness.

The Bharat Prawaas Awards 2026 honoured 72 winners, comprising 50 BOCI Excellence Awards and 22 redBus People’s Choice Awards, recognising excellence in operational performance, innovation, sustainability, safety and customer service. Additional awards were also presented to exhibitors for outstanding participation.

Commenting on the successful conclusion of the event, BOCI President Prasanna Patwardhan said the anniversary edition highlighted how collaboration, innovation and progressive policymaking are driving the future of passenger mobility in India by bringing together operators, policymakers, manufacturers and technology providers on a common platform.

The event was organised by BOCI, hosted by the Akhil Gujarat Pravasi Vahan Sanchalak Mahamandal, co-hosted by the Gujarat Luxury Cab Owners Association and the Gujarat Tourist Vehicles Operators Association, and curated by MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications Pvt.
