JK Tyre & Industries Ltd has appointed Dr. Arun Kumar Jaura as its Chief Technology Officer, effective February 3, 2025. This move aligns with the company’s strategy to enhance its technology and R&D capabilities while advancing its succession plan.
Dr. Jaura brings over 40 years of experience across Indian and global markets, specializing in R&D, sustainability, automotive product development, and hybrid vehicle engineering.
He holds an M. Tech. from IIT Madras, a Ph.D. from Concordia University, Montreal, and has completed executive programs at Harvard and the University of Michigan – Stephen M. Ross School of Business. His blend of technical expertise and strategic management acumen positions him to drive large-scale innovation initiatives effectively.
Beyond his corporate role, Dr. Jaura has been a key contributor to India’s electric mobility sector as a founding member of the Government’s National Mission on Electric Mobility since January 2013. He also holds leadership positions in the Indo-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry and serves on the European Advisory Committee for Sustainable Development.
