
Auto components manufacturer Gabriel India has appointed Mahendra K. Goyal as its Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), effective July 21, 2026, for a five-year term ending July 20, 2031, subject to shareholder approval at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). As per the company’s stock exchange filing, Goyal will also be liable to retire by rotation.
In his new role, Goyal will oversee the company’s overall operations across all business segments, including its joint ventures, subsidiaries, and associate companies. At the same time, Atul Jaggi, the former Managing Director of Gabriel India, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the company’s Ride Control business unit.
Mahendra K. Goyal has been associated with the ANAND Group since 1995 and was appointed Group CEO in October 2024. A finance professional by qualification, he began his career with the group in finance leadership roles before becoming Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2009. In 2013, he transitioned into business leadership, overseeing multiple businesses and joint ventures, and was appointed Managing Director of Dana Anand in 2016. Following the group’s organisational restructuring in 2021, he assumed the role of Group Co-Chief Operating Officer (Co-COO).
With more than 31 years of experience across finance, legal, operations, business management, and corporate governance, Goyal has played a significant role in ANAND Group’s transformation initiatives, including Project RISE, Project Jupiter, and strategic investments such as HL Klemove India.
Meanwhile, Atul Jaggi brings over 25 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, supplier development, and business operations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from IMT Ghaziabad, and a Master’s degree in Quality Management from BITS Pilani. He is also a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and has completed executive management programmes at MIT Sloan School of Management and the University of Oxford.
During his career, Jaggi has held leadership positions across maintenance, supplier development, corporate quality, and manufacturing excellence. He has also contributed to several ANAND Group initiatives, including the Quality Circle Programme, Visionary Task Force, and the VSME initiative. Previously, he served as Managing Director of Gabriel India and has been a board member of Haldex India, Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies India, and Mahle Anand Filters. He currently also serves on the board of Dana Anand India.
