JK Fenner appoints Jegapriyan Govindarajan as President

The former Garrett Motion Technologies India executive will lead the company as it expands its focus on EV-related opportunities, digital technologies, and sustainability-driven growth.

JK Fenner (India) Limited has announced the appointment of Jegapriyan Govindarajan as its President, effective immediately. Based in Chennai, he will report directly to Vikrampati Singhania, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the company.

Govindarajan joins JK Fenner from Garrett Motion Technologies India, where he served as Managing Director and General Manager for India. He brings nearly three decades of experience across the automotive and industrial sectors, having held leadership positions at leading organizations including Tecumseh Products Company and Valeo Lighting Systems India.

A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Govindarajan also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

Welcoming the appointment, Vikrampati Singhania, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, JK Fenner, expressed confidence in Govindarajan’s leadership capabilities.

JK Fenner currently operates nine manufacturing facilities and four research and development centres across India. The company serves a diverse range of industries, including automotive, agriculture, power, steel, cement, and textiles, with a broad portfolio comprising oil seals, hoses, gearboxes, geared motors, pulleys, front-end accessory drive systems, belt tensioners and moulded rubber products.

As part of its future growth strategy, the company is expanding its product portfolio to address emerging opportunities within the electric vehicle ecosystem. JK Fenner is also strengthening its focus on digital technologies, innovation, and sustainability initiatives to support long-term business growth and evolving customer requirements.
