The Piaggio Group has appointed Ajay Raghuvanshi as Business Head of its two-wheeler category. Raghuvanshi has over a decade of experience in the auto industry and has been associated with many companies across the sector. Prior to joining Piaggio, he was heading sales at Skoda India. Before joining Skoda, Raghuvanshi was General Manager, Sales, Nissan Middle East. Raghuvanshi has also served as the Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Dealer Management, Nissan Motor India.
Before taking control as Group Head of Hyundai Motors India Limited, Raghuvanshi led the expansion, dealer enhancement and support, monitoring the rural sales and expansion as the Senior General Manager. Before this, he headed the North and East Zone for Honda Siel Cars India and before that the Light Commercial Vehicle for the north region at Tata Motors.
He had also worked with Yamaha motor India Ltd. driving the National Sales and at LML Ltd as the Regional Manager of Gujarat. Raghuvanshi was also associated with companies such as Whirlpool India, Titan Industries and Blow past. Raghuvanshi is a graduate from University of Rajasthan and completed his MBA in from the same university. He started his career in 1989 as an officer with Times of India and has worked across many senior level positions.
