
JSW MG Motor India reported a 14% year-on-year (YoY) growth in August 2026, with wholesale sales reaching 7,508 units during the month. The company continued to maintain momentum across both its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolios.
The sales performance comes alongside the launch of the MG Hector Tomahawk, offered in both electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) variants. Dealership dispatches of the Hector Tomahawk EV have also commenced, with units now being shipped to retail outlets across the country.
JSW MG Motor India said the August performance reflects continued demand across its portfolio as it expands its presence in both conventional and new-energy vehicle segments.
In August, JSW MG Motor India launched the MG Hector Tomahawk, its first SUV built on ADAPT, India’s first Multi-New Energy Vehicle platform. Available in both Electric Vehicle (EV) and Plug‑in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrain options, the Hector Tomahawk offers customers greater flexibility to meet diverse mobility needs.”
For a limited number of bookings, the Hector Tomahawk EV is available at an introductory Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) price starting at ₹13.99 lakh plus ₹4.90/km battery rental. Customers opting for full vehicle ownership can avail the introductory ex-showroom price starting at ₹19.49 lakh.
The Hector Tomahawk PHEV is being offered at an introductory Battery‑as‑a‑Service (BaaS) price starting at ₹21.79 lakh plus ₹3.20/km battery rental for a limited number of bookings, while the introductory ex-showroom price starts at ₹25.69 lakh.
Bookings for both the Hector Tomahawk EV and PHEV are now open across MG dealerships nationwide and on the company’s website. Deliveries of the Hector Tomahawk EV are scheduled to commence in September 2026, while test drives and deliveries of the Hector Tomahawk PHEV will begin in November 2026.
The company has also commenced dispatches of the Hector Tomahawk EV to dealerships across India.
