Tata Motors to increase prices of its PVs, effective May 1st, 2023

Tata Motors will marginally increase the price of its passenger vehicles from May 1, 2023. The weighted average increase will be 0.6%, depending on the variant and model, the company said.

Tata Motors has been absorbing a significant portion of the increased costs on account of regulatory changes and rise in overall input costs and is hence compelled to pass on some proportion through this hike.

Last month, the company had announced a price hike of its entire commercial vehicle segment portfolio by 5% citing the new RDE norms. Other companies such as Kia India and Maruti Suzuki had also announced a price hike in March and January, respectively.
