International automotive supplier FORVIA HELLA has launched its first aerodynamic Rear Wing Lighting into series production. This innovative product combines a rear combination lamp and a spoiler in a unified lighting concept. The Rear Wing Lighting is supplied for the new LYNK & CO Model 02, a brand under the Geely Auto Group. Available in Europe since October and set to launch in China on December 22, the rear combination lamp is developed and produced locally
With our innovative Rear Wing Lighting concept, we are making a bold statement not only in technological performance but also in light signature and design,” says Yves Andres, a member of the Management Board responsible for FORVIA HELLA’s global lighting business. “Implementing this technology for the first time in China for a local car manufacturer highlights the growing demand for unique, customized lighting solutions in this market. We are fully committed to addressing this trend with our technologies and local-for-local approach.
The Rear Wing Lighting developed by FORVIA HELLA features a highly integrated design, measuring nearly 2.40 meters in length to cover the entire rear of the vehicle, extending into its sides. This spoiler-like rear lamp also reflects the signature light design of LYNK & CO. The lighting system incorporates essential functions such as indicators, brake and reverse lights, as well as coming home and leaving features. Additionally, the Rear Wing Lighting boasts a sleek, compact design with a height of less than ten centimeters. As a spoiler, it enhances the vehicle’s aerodynamics, stability, and energy efficiency. The design integrates not only the rear light optics but also the necessary lighting electronics and structural elements for durability and stability.
