The 2025 Honda Accord and Accord Hybrid have been named “Best Cars for Families” by U.S. News & World Report in its 2025 new car rankings. The turbocharged Accord earned the title of Best Midsize Car for Families, while the Accord Hybrid secured the top spot as Best Midsize Hybrid Car for Families.
This marks the fourth time the Honda Accord has been named the “Best Midsize Car for Families” and the second “Best Hybrid Car for Families” honour for the hybrid-electric powered Accord Hybrid. Accord Hybrid models are positioned at the top of the 11th generation Accord lineup and represent more than 50 percent of sales.
According to U.S. News & World Report, “Both the standard and hybrid Honda Accords offer class-leading back seat and trunk space, good fuel economy, and many safety and driver assistance features. That’s a very compelling recipe for family shoppers,” said Alex Kwanten, managing editor of Autos for U.S. News & World Report.
The publication’s annual Best Cars for Families awards recognize the top cars, SUVs, and minivans that deliver the best combination of safety, reliability, space, comfort, convenience, and connectivity in their segment. The award methodology factors in a vehicle’s overall score in the U.S. News Best Car Rankings, along with safety and reliability ratings, seating and cargo capacity, and the availability of family-friendly features. The vehicle with the highest composite score in each category earns the title of Best Car for Families.
