Jaguar unveils Type 00: Bold. Surprising. Striking

This design concept embodies Jaguar's creative philosophy of Exuberant Modernism, following the unveiling of its refreshed brand identity. Making its world debut at Miami Art Week, as South Florida becomes a global art hub for six days, Type 00 offers a preview of Jaguar's future. It signifies the brand’s return to the original "Copy Nothing" ethos of its founder, Sir William Lyons.

Jaguar is unveiling a bold and striking new physical representation of its transformation with the introduction of Type 00 (pronounced Type Zero Zero). This design concept reflects the brand’s creative philosophy of Exuberant Modernism, following the debut of its refreshed brand identity.

Making its world debut at Miami Art Week, as South Florida becomes a global art hub for six days, Type 00 offers a glimpse into the future of Jaguar. It marks the brand’s return to the original ‘Copy Nothing’ ethos of founder Sir William Lyons.

Jaguar has unveiled Type 00, a groundbreaking electric vehicle that embodies the brand’s new creative philosophy, Exuberant Modernism. The name “Type 00” links to Jaguar’s heritage, drawing from iconic models like the E-Type, with “00” symbolizing zero emissions and marking a new era for the brand. The vehicle features a bold, dramatic design, with a long bonnet, sweeping roofline, and striking boat-tail profile, enabled by Jaguar’s bespoke JEA (Jaguar Electrical Architecture).

Type 00 represents the first tangible manifestation of Jaguar’s creative vision, which focuses on three key pillars: Exuberant (vibrant and fearless), Modernist (future-facing and inspired by the world), and Compelling (creating meaningful connections). It’s a glimpse into future Jaguar models, starting with a four-door GT set for release in 2025, boasting impressive range and rapid charging capabilities.

The car’s exterior design commands attention with precise lines, hidden technologies like deployable rear cameras, and a striking rear profile with glassless tailgate and distinctive taillights. Inside, the cabin features luxurious materials such as brass, travertine stone, and textiles, with innovative tech like deployable screens and mood-customizing elements.

Jaguar’s global presence is expanding with exclusive brand stores, starting with a new location in Paris. The launch of Type 00 was showcased during Miami Art Week, reinforcing Jaguar’s commitment to art, design, and creativity.
