Niterra, a leading supplier of automotive ignition and vehicle electronics, has expanded its spark plug range with the introduction of seven double precious metal spark plugs for four-wheel vehicles. This addition enhances the company’s Aftermarket coverage in the EMEA region.
The new spark plugs maintain Niterra’s renowned reliability and quality, catering to a variety of popular European vehicles, including models from BMW and Mini (SILZKGR8G8S), Ford (SILNAR8D7G), Audi, Cupra, VW (SILFER8D7ES), Skoda, Seat, and Mazda (ILZKAR8N6S). The reference ILKAR7Q7 is a cross item compatible with Renault, Dacia, and Nissan vehicles, such as the Renault Clio 1.0-litre TCe 90, Dacia Sandero, and Nissan Micra 1.0-litre IG-T 100.
Additionally, the reference MR8BP8HJS marks a significant entry into the Independent Aftermarket, designed specifically for Ferrari-branded vehicles. Among the new offerings, the SILNAR8D7G is a standout part for Ford models like the Puma 1.0-litre EcoBoost mHEV and the Fiesta 1.0-litre EcoBoost, all featuring Niterra’s high standards of quality and performance.
Key features of these seven double precious metal spark plugs include their excellent ignitability and first-class resistance to wear.
The new references, which all follow Niterra’s OE business, will cover a car parc of 5.4 million vehicles in 2024. This is expected to rise to 6.49 million the following year, an increase of more than 20%. Of the seven, the reference ILKAR7Q7 alone is expected to add to the car parc by 1.94 million units this year, rising to 2.35 million by 2025. Similarly, the SILNAR8D7G spark plug covers an impressive car parc of 1.55 million vehicles in 2024 that is seen growing to 1.76 million in 2025.

The spark plugs belong to NGK Ignition Parts’ Laser Iridium/Laser Platinum lineup, a set of plugs known for their excellent ignition properties and famous durability. The spark plugs have a laser-welded iridium or platinum alloy on the centre electrode and a platinum chip on the ground electrode, both of which ensure superb long-term performance.
All of the new references have been listed in the TecDoc Web Catalogue since 30 October 2024 and will also be included in the company’s next print catalogue edition.
