Xiaomi Auto has officially launched its new SkyNomad SUV series at the Xiaomi Fall Flagship Launch Event, introducing four extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants: the SkyNomad N70 Pro, N70 Max, N90 Max and N90 Max Studio.
Built on Xiaomi’s proprietary Kunlun technical architecture, the SkyNomad family is positioned as an intelligent, reconfigurable and spacious SUV lineup aimed at both family and business users. The N70 variants target the five-seat extended-range SUV segment, while the larger N90 models offer seven-seat practicality and additional premium features. The range also includes the N90 Max Studio, which transforms the SUV into a mobile living and working space with a two-level loft-style layout.

The SkyNomad N70 Pro is the entry-level five-seat extended-range SUV, while the N70 Max adds an all-wheel-drive powertrain. The N90 Max serves as the seven-seat flagship designed for both business and family use. At the top of the range, the N90 Max Studio introduces a factory-integrated electric lifting roof and a cabin designed to function as a mobile personal space.
Xiaomi SkyNomad N70: Design and Dimensions
The SkyNomad N70 follows the same design philosophy as the larger N90, featuring a bold yet understated SUV stance. Xiaomi has focused on proportions that maximise cabin space, with a short front overhang and a longer rear section.
Measuring 4,960mm in length, 1,998mm in width and with a 2,950mm wheelbase, the N70 features clean body surfacing and rounded edges that contribute to its boxy silhouette. The side profile gets a forward-leaning D-pillar and a subtly sloping roofline, giving the SUV a more dynamic appearance.
The SUV is equipped with Xiaomi’s signature dragonfly headlights, offering a high-beam range of up to 624 metres and a low-beam coverage angle of 180 degrees. At the rear, inverted U-shaped halo taillights provide a distinctive lighting signature.
Xiaomi SkyNomad N70: Cabin Space and Practicality
The N70 has been engineered around a spacious, flexible cabin. It features a flat floor measuring 4.01 square metres and five sliding tracks extending up to 1.56 metres.
The second-row seats can slide forward and backward by up to 600mm, allowing rear legroom to reach 1,410mm. Luggage capacity ranges from 1,203 litres to 2,425 litres with the rear seats folded, giving the SUV considerable flexibility for passengers and cargo.
Powertrain and Range
The Xiaomi SkyNomad N70 is offered with two different powertrain configurations.
The N70 Pro uses a front-wheel-drive setup paired with a 52kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. It delivers a claimed CLTC electric range of 351km and a combined range of up to 1,351km. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.9 seconds.
The N70 Max features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and a larger 76kWh ternary lithium battery. It offers a claimed CLTC electric range of 505km and a total combined range of 1,461km. The N70 Max accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 5.5 seconds.
Fuel consumption with a depleted battery is rated at 5.7 litres per 100km for the N70 Pro and 6.1 litres per 100km for the N70 Max.
Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max: Seven-Seat Flagship
The larger SkyNomad N90 Max measures 5,285mm in length, 1,998mm in width and has a 3,080mm wheelbase. It adopts a 2+2+3 seating configuration, offering three rows of seating for family and business applications.
Power comes from a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system paired with a 76kWh ternary lithium battery. The N90 Max has a claimed CLTC electric range of 464km and a combined range of up to 1,705km.
The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 190km/h. With the battery depleted, WLTC fuel consumption is rated at 6.26 litres per 100km.
Xiaomi SkyNomad N90 Max Studio: A Mobile Living Space
The N90 Max Studio is the most distinctive model in the SkyNomad lineup, transforming the SUV into a mobile living and working environment.
It features a factory-integrated electric pop-up roof that increases the vehicle’s overall height to 2,294mm. The elevated section creates an upper loft area capable of supporting up to 200kg.
Inside, the second-row seats can be electrically transformed into a 1.87-metre by 1.24-metre bed in approximately 30 seconds. The Studio variant also receives underfloor heating, wood-grain aluminium flooring and an integrated 30-inch projection screen.
Advanced Technology and Driver Assistance
The SkyNomad series is equipped with Xiaomi’s latest in-car technology, powered by a third-generation 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 platform and Xiaomi’s Super EEA architecture.
For driver assistance, the SUVs feature an Nvidia Thor-U computing platform capable of delivering 700 TOPS. The system works alongside LiDAR and 4D millimetre-wave radar hardware, supporting 25 active safety and driver-assistance functions.
With its combination of extended-range electric powertrains, flexible cabin configurations, advanced driver-assistance technology and multiple body formats, the Xiaomi SkyNomad series expands the company’s presence in the premium SUV segment while offering different interpretations of a spacious, technology-focused EREV.
