XPENG unveils groundbreaking mobility innovations at Milan Design Week

The exhibition spotlighted the AI-powered XPENG P7+ electric sedan and the XPENG AEROTH X2 flying car, while also marking the European debut of the IRON humanoid robot. XPENG further revealed that its G6 and G9 models will launch in Italy this June, exclusively distributed by ATFLOW.

XPENG, the trailblazing Chinese high-tech mobility brand, has chosen the esteemed Milan Design Week 2025 to make its official debut in the Italian market.

Established in 2014, XPENG is dedicated to the design, development, manufacturing, and global marketing of intelligent electric vehicles powered by advanced artificial intelligence.

With a strong focus on European expansion, XPENG began its journey in Norway in 2021 and has since extended its presence to key markets including the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Poland, and now Italy. In Q1 2025 alone, XPENG delivered over 94,000 vehicles worldwide, reflecting a remarkable 300% year-on-year growth.

XPENG has unveiled its “XPENG: #FUTUREMOBILITY” exhibition at the ADI Design Museum in Milan—home to the prestigious Compasso d’Oro Award collection. This showcase offered an exclusive glimpse into XPENG’s bold vision for the future, where robotics, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge design converge to redefine mobility.

At the heart of the exhibition were three standout innovations, each poised to revolutionize how we move and interact with technology: the XPENG P7+, the world’s first AI-defined electric vehicle; the XPENG AEROTH X2, a flying electric car and Gold Prize winner at the China Excellent Industrial Design Award, set to transform urban transport; and IRON, a humanoid robot that exemplifies the fusion of AI and lifelike motion.

“There’s no better place than Italy to celebrate automotive heritage, timeless design, and the future of mobility,” said Brian Gu, Vice Chairman & President of XPENG. “Today, at the iconic ADI Design Museum during Milan Design Week, we mark a new milestone in XPENG’s journey. Beyond building intelligent vehicles powered by AI, hardware, and software, we are also pioneering advancements in flying mobility and robotics.”

“We are honoured to present XPENG in Italy during the Milan Design Week in a prestigious setting such as the ADI Design Museum,” added JuanMa Lopez, Vice President of Design Center at XPENG. “We could not have chosen a better context for a country with such a rich automotive tradition and a culture that has elevated design to an art form. Our design philosophy is explicit: to create cars that express our know-how through the perfect union between aesthetics and functionality in every aspect”.

“It is a source of pride and responsibility for us to be the exclusive importers and distributors of XPENG for Italy”, said Mattia Vanini, President of ATFLOW. “XPENG is one of the main protagonists of the global technological revolution. The excellence of the brand, together with our deep knowledge of the Italian market, will generate tangible benefits for customers and become a reference in the evolution of sustainable mobility in Italy”.
