ZF Aftermarket has been nominated for two prestigious Automechanika Innovation Awards 2026, recognising the company’s latest advancements in connected fleet management technologies. The nominations highlight ZF Aftermarket’s continued focus on improving fleet efficiency, reducing vehicle downtime, and enabling smarter maintenance through digital innovation.
One of the shortlisted solutions, ZF Bus Connect Remote Diagnostics, has been nominated in the ‘Data, Connectivity & Cybersecurity’ category. Built on the existing ZF Bus Connect platform, the solution enables workshop-grade remote diagnostics by securely connecting a bus’s internal CAN network with ZF [pro]Diagnostics. This allows technicians to remotely access vehicle systems, retrieve detailed diagnostic information, execute diagnostic commands, and receive real-time responses from buses while they are in operation, helping fleet operators minimise downtime and improve service efficiency.
In the “Commercial Vehicle & Fleet Innovation” category, ZF SCALAR Asset Insights has been recognized for introducing a new approach to trailer diagnostics and fleet management. The digital analytics solution transforms diagnostic trouble code (DTC) data into a chronological health history for each trailer, providing fleet operators with visibility into the development of technical issues over time.
Together, the two nominations reflect ZF Aftermarket’s strategy of delivering innovative solutions that help fleets move from reactive maintenance to smarter fleet management, enabled by data.
“Having two solutions shortlisted for the Automechanika Innovation Awards is a strong recognition of our commitment to developing technologies that solve real-world challenges for fleet operators, while Maximizing Uptime,” said Benoit Dessart, Head of Business Line Digital Solutions at ZF Aftermarket. “Both ZF Bus Connect Remote Diagnostics and ZF SCALAR Asset Insights demonstrate how digitalization is creating a more connected fleet ecosystem. By linking vehicle data, workshop diagnostics and ZF technologies, these solutions help customers increase uptime, improve efficiency and make better informed decisions.”
