
Polestar reported its highest-ever first-quarter retail sales, delivering an estimated 13,126 vehicles in Q1 2026, marking a 7% increase compared to 12,263 units in Q1 2025.
The growth comes amid continued expansion of the brand’s global retail footprint. Polestar currently operates 230 retail sales points, up from 154 locations at the end of Q1 2025, representing a 50% increase in its global sales network.
Commenting on the performance, Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar, said the company has built on the momentum of its strong 2025 performance.
“Following a record 2025, we’ve delivered our highest ever first quarter retail sales figure of 13,126 cars. Growth compared to the first quarter last year totalled 7%, with a strong performance in key markets such as Australia, Germany, Sweden, South Korea and the United Kingdom, testament to the hard work of our teams and our established brand position,” he said.
Lohscheller also noted that the company’s performance reflects resilience despite increasing global challenges. “Our performance in the first quarter has shown resilience, with market conditions becoming more challenging amid ongoing geopolitical developments,” he added.
Polestar plans to further strengthen its global presence by expanding its retail network to approximately 250 sales points by the end of 2026, representing a 20% increase compared to the end of 2025.
