Mercedes-Benz expands Andhra Pradesh presence with new luxury showroom in Visakhapatnam

This expansion drive will be backed by an investment of ₹200 crore by Mercedes-Benz franchise partners over the next two years.

Mercedes-Benz India has strengthened its footprint in Andhra Pradesh with the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art 1S luxury dealership in Visakhapatnam. Operated by Silver Star, the new showroom reinforces the brand’s strategy of expanding its luxury retail network across key growth markets in India and enhancing customer accessibility in the region.

Marking the occasion, Mercedes-Benz India also showcased the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA BEV in Visakhapatnam. Positioned as the brand’s most intelligent and technologically advanced electric vehicle yet, the CLA BEV signals a new chapter in luxury electric mobility while underlining Mercedes-Benz’s continued focus on innovation and sustainable mobility solutions in India.

The newly inaugurated showroom has been designed to deliver a modern luxury retail experience, enabling customers to explore Mercedes-Benz’s portfolio through personalised consultations and curated engagements. The showroom that was completed in a short span of 3 months, integrates immersive digital aids, tailored customer interaction zones and a premium ambience aligned with Mercedes-Benz’s global luxury retail standards.

Strategically located on the Chennai–Kolkata Highway, the luxury showroom enjoys enhanced visibility and seamless connectivity from all corners of Visakhapatnam. Located at the Visakhapatnam Marriott by Fairfield, the facility is positioned at a landmark destination, catering to existing and prospective luxury customers in the city.

Speaking on the inauguration, Brendon Sissing, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India said Mercedes-Benz continues to strengthen its footprint across emerging markets in India by bringing global-standard luxury products and retail experiences closer to customers. He noted that Visakhapatnam represents a key growth market for the brand, driven by a rising base of discerning luxury car buyers. With the opening of Silver Star’s new facility, customers in the region will gain enhanced access to Mercedes-Benz’s premium vehicles and customer services, further supporting the brand’s long-term growth ambitions in the market.

Amith Reddy, Managing Director, Silver Star, said the new showroom marks another milestone in Silver Star’s long-standing partnership with Mercedes-Benz India. He added that the facility has been designed to offer an elevated and seamless customer journey through personalised consultations, immersive product displays and premium hospitality services. According to Reddy, the new showroom is expected to further enrich the luxury ownership experience for customers in the region while strengthening Mercedes-Benz’s brand presence in Visakhapatnam.

The showroom spans approximately 2300 sq. ft. including a dedicated customer touchpoint area. The new dealership is supported by a highly trained team of 15 professionals and equipped to deliver focused customer engagement across the sales and delivery journey and includes one dedicated delivery bay.

As part of its ‘Go to Customer’ strategy, Mercedes‑Benz India has outlined a significant retail network expansion for 2026. The company plans to add 20+ world‑class MAR20X outlets across high‑potential emerging markets, while strengthening its presence in key metropolitan regions including Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR.

Customer experience remains at the core of the Network Strategy. The company will continue upgrading existing facilities nationwide to the global MAR20X standard, while also exploring new retail formats and advanced technologies, including AI‑ and automation‑led solutions. This expansion will be supported by an investment of ₹200 crore by Mercedes‑Benz Franchise Partners over the next two years.

MAR20X format is the modern retail format of Mercedes-Benz and it is based on the four pillars of Design, Architecture, Customer-oriented process, and Digital enhancements.
