
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has inaugurated TDRIVE, its structured motor vehicle training initiative, in partnership with Patni Toyota in Raipur. This marks the first introduction of TDRIVE in Chhattisgarh.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening road safety and promoting responsible mobility by equipping drivers with the knowledge and practical skills required to adopt safer driving practices.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, along with senior company leadership, including Sachin Sharma, Vice President – East Region, Sales, Service & Used Car, Toyota Kirloskar Motor. Umesh Patni, Dealer Principal, Patni Toyota, and other company and dealership representatives were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “The inauguration of TDRIVE in Raipur is an important step in our ongoing commitment to making Indian roads safer. Aligned with Toyota’s safety philosophy of creating a “Safe Society,” TDRIVE offers structured, high-quality training designed to impart disciplined driving practices and strengthen road safety awareness. The program combines practical classroom training, advanced simulator sessions developed within an actual vehicle, and supervised on-road instruction, enabling a seamless transition from simulation to real-world driving conditions.
The facility at Patni Toyota will serve as a regional hub for motor vehicle training, extending Toyota’s vision of zero road fatalities across Chhattisgarh and neighbouring regions. By equipping drivers with safer, more responsible driving practices, TDRIVE contributes to reducing accidents and creating a culture of accountability on Indian roads.
With this launch, Toyota continues to expand its nationwide network of driving schools. The addition of Raipur facility further expands Toyota’s presence across India, reaffirming its commitment to safer mobility, community well-being and the promotion of responsible driving practices.
