Kia PV5 Passenger wins Autocar’s ‘Best Large Car’ award for 2026

The electric vehicle was recognised for its innovative design, intelligent packaging, practicality, value proposition and advanced E-GMP.S platform.

Kia Corporation has announced that its innovative PV5 Passenger has been named ‘Best Large Car’ at the prestigious 2026 Autocar Awards, earning recognition for its groundbreaking approach to electric mobility and vehicle design.

The judging panel praised the PV5 Passenger for redefining expectations in the electric vehicle segment, highlighting its progressive styling, intelligent packaging, and strong value proposition. The model was also commended for its spacious and efficiently designed interior, refined driving characteristics, and forward-thinking design philosophy, which collectively set a new benchmark for large electric vehicles.

The award reinforces Kia’s commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions while showcasing the versatility and practicality of its purpose-built electric vehicle platform.

Autocar also recognized the PV5 Passenger’s strong performance and range, made possible by Kia’s PBV dedicated E-GMP.S platform, while noting its attractive positioning as a new benchmark for both electric LCVs and MPVs. With versatile 7-seater and wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV) versions planned, Autocar concluded that the PV5 represents one of the smartest, most imaginative and accessible all-electric LCV and MPV propositions on the market today.
