Tata Power and TPEM have launched Telangana's first TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub in Hyderabad with 360 kW fast charging, supporting six EVs simultaneously.

The Tata Power Company Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEM) have inaugurated Telangana’s first high-speed TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub at iLabs Centre Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad’s Hitech City, marking another milestone in the expansion of India’s fast-charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

The new MegaCharger Hub features a total charging capacity of 360 kW, delivered through three 120 kW fast-charging dispensers, enabling up to six electric vehicles to charge simultaneously. Operating round the clock, the facility is designed to cater to private EV owners, commercial fleets, ride-hailing operators, intercity travellers and corporate commuters.

According to the companies, the charging hub has been established to address the growing demand for reliable EV charging infrastructure in Hyderabad, one of India’s rapidly expanding technology and business centres, while supporting Telangana’s clean mobility and sustainability ambitions.

The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana, Gopalakrishnan VC, Director – Automotive and EV Sector, Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka, along with senior representatives from Tata Power and Tata Motors.

In addition, the company has installed over 230,000 home EV chargers in collaboration with automotive manufacturers.

A part of the Tata Group, Tata Power operates a diversified power generation, transmission and distribution portfolio with an installed capacity of 16.3 GW, including 7.5 GW from clean energy sources. The company has committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2045 as part of its long-term sustainability roadmap.
