JSW MG Motor India has unveiled the new Hector Tomahawk SUV in India, offering it in both Electric Vehicle (EV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) versions. The Hector Tomahawk is the first model to be developed on the company’s newly introduced Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology (ADAPT).
The Hector Tomahawk EV is priced from Rs 19.49 lakh, ex-showroom, for customers opting for full vehicle ownership. The PHEV is priced from Rs 25.69 lakh, ex-showroom.
Under MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) ownership model, the Hector Tomahawk EV is available at an introductory price of Rs 13.99 lakh, along with a battery rental fee of Rs 4.90 per km. The PHEV starts at Rs 21.79 lakh, with a battery rental charge of Rs 3.20 per km.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV: Battery, Motor and Range
The Hector Tomahawk EV is equipped with a 69.2 kWh MAGIC battery pack paired with a 150 kW electric motor. It offers an ARAI-certified range of 517 km on a single charge.
The SUV also introduces Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technology, enabling the vehicle’s battery to supply electricity to domestic appliances and other external equipment.
MG Hector Tomahawk PHEV: Engine, Battery and Range
The Hector Tomahawk PHEV combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 20.5 kWh battery pack and a 148 kW electric motor.
The plug-in hybrid SUV offers an electric-only range of more than 115 km, while its combined driving range exceeds 1,100 km, giving customers an alternative to a fully electric powertrain.

MG Hector Tomahawk: Features and Technology
The Hector Tomahawk comes equipped with a 15.6-inch HD central touchscreen, Level 2 ADAS, and the company’s i-SMART 3.0 connected-car technology.
The SUV also features a generative AI-powered voice assistant capable of processing more than 30 Hinglish commands, adding voice-based functionality to the connected-car experience.
Bookings and Deliveries
Bookings for both the Hector Tomahawk EV and PHEV are now open through MG dealerships and online channels.
Deliveries of the Hector Tomahawk EV are scheduled to begin in September 2026, while test drives and deliveries of the PHEV version will commence in November 2026.
With two electrified powertrain options, BaaS ownership and features such as V2H technology, the Hector Tomahawk marks a significant expansion of JSW MG Motor India’s electrified SUV portfolio.
