Toyota Kirloskar Motor enhances community well-being with new water units in Mysore District

As part of its commitment to ensuring access to safe and hygienic drinking water, improving public health, and preventing waterborne diseases, TKM has installed advanced water purification units in Mysore district under its 2024-25 fiscal year initiatives. This latest deployment is expected to benefit over 3,98,870 people, making a significant impact on community well-being.

Reaffirming its commitment to community well-being and social responsibility, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has inaugurated new water purification units in Mysore district. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Member of the Karnataka Vidhana Parishath, along with senior TKM leadership, such as Mr. Sudeep Dalvi, Chief Communication Officer, Senior Vice President & Head of State Affairs at Toyota Kirloskar Motor. Their presence highlighted the transformative impact of this initiative.

Aligned with its mission to provide access to safe and hygienic drinking water, improve public health, and prevent waterborne diseases, TKM has installed advanced water purification units in Mysore district as part of its 2024-25 fiscal year initiatives. This latest deployment is set to benefit over 3,98,870 people, significantly enhancing the well-being of local communities.

Each unit features an advanced six-stage purification process along with a real-time water monitoring system that tracks key parameters such as Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and caters to the need of the community where water is contaminated with high TDS. Additionally, the system is equipped with solar power, backup power solutions, for uninterrupted usage and an efficient wastewater management mechanism, ensuring optimal water dispensing while minimizing energy consumption. With this latest initiative, a total of 7500 ltrs/hour water purification capacity is developed to cater to the community needs.

TKM’s collaboration with local Grama Panchayats and the community has been instrumental in fostering a sense of ownership and shared responsibility, further strengthening the initiative’s impact and its continued sustainability and promotion of better sanitation practices and overall well-being across communities.
