Ducati has launched the all-new 2026 Monster in India, marking the fifth generation of its iconic naked sports motorcycle. The new Monster is priced from ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is offered in both Monster and Monster+ variants.
The fifth-generation Monster gets Ducati’s new 890 cc V2 engine with Intake Variable Timing (IVT), along with a redesigned chassis and an updated electronics package. The motorcycle is also 4 kg lighter than its predecessor, with a wet weight of 175 kg without fuel.
Commenting on the launch, Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India, said, “The Ducati Monster has always been the bike that introduced people to what a Ducati really feels like, and this new generation makes that experience more accessible than ever.”
2026 Ducati Monster Gets New 890 cc V2 Engine
The new Monster is powered by Ducati’s 890 cc V2 engine with Intake Variable Timing (IVT). The engine produces 111 hp at 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm of peak torque at 7,250 rpm.
According to Ducati, the new V2 engine is 5.9 kg lighter than the previous Testastretta Evoluzione engine. The IVT system is designed to improve low-speed smoothness while delivering stronger mid-range performance and increased power at higher engine speeds.
More than 80 per cent of the engine’s maximum torque is available between 4,000 rpm and 10,000 rpm, providing a broad and accessible power delivery.
Ducati has also extended the valve-clearance inspection interval to 45,000 km, which the company claims is a benchmark for the segment.
Lightweight Chassis and Updated Suspension
The 2026 Ducati Monster uses a monocoque frame, with the V2 engine serving as a stressed structural component. The motorcycle features a double-sided swingarm, while the rear subframe combines a technopolymer element with a trellis structure.
Suspension duties are handled by a 43 mm Showa upside-down fork at the front and a Showa monoshock at the rear.
Braking is managed by twin 320 mm front discs with Brembo M4.32 radial calipers. The motorcycle rides on Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres.
The revised chassis and lightweight construction contribute to the Monster’s reduced weight, with the motorcycle weighing 175 kg without fuel, 4 kg less than its predecessor.
2026 Ducati Monster Gets Advanced Electronics
The new Monster comes equipped with an extensive electronic rider-assistance package, including a six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0.
The motorcycle offers four riding modes:
- Sport
- Road
- Urban
- Wet
A 5-inch full-TFT display provides the rider with key information, while a new petal-shaped joystick control system is designed to make accessing the motorcycle’s functions more intuitive.
Ducati Monster and Monster+ Prices in India
The 2026 Ducati Monster is available in Ducati Red, Iceberg White and Sport Livery. The Monster+ adds a headlight cowl and passenger seat cover over the standard Monster.

Ducati Introduces Protect Maintenance Packages
Alongside the new Monster, Ducati has introduced its Ducati Protect periodic maintenance contracts for the motorcycle.
The Ducati Protect+ package costs ₹30,999 for two years or 15,000 km, while the Ducati Protect Pro package is priced at ₹54,999 and covers four years or 30,000 km.
Both packages cover scheduled maintenance parts and labour, with servicing carried out by Ducati-certified technicians.
2026 Ducati Monster India Availability
The new Ducati Monster is available in India from August 10, 2026, through Ducati’s authorised dealer network in New Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Goa.
With its new V2 engine, lighter construction, updated electronics and revised chassis, the fifth-generation Monster continues Ducati’s focus on combining everyday usability with the performance and character associated with the Monster nameplate.
