Creatara Mobility unveils two electric scooters – IN40 and VM4

The VM4 is designed for personal mobility, while the IN40 is aimed at the B2B market. Both models are available in different variants, featuring 48V and high-voltage 72V electrical systems. They offer a top speed of 110 km per hour and a range of 150 km on a single charge, with two battery options: 2.3 kWh and 4.3 kWh.

Creatara Mobility, an electric two-wheeler startup based in New Delhi, has launched its newest models, the IN40 and VM4, at an event hosted at IIT Delhi. The event saw the presence of Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. Bookings for the models are now open, with deliveries expected to begin within a few months.

Founded by IIT-Delhi graduates Vikas Gupta and Ringlarei Pamei, Creatara is focused on delivering safe electric two-wheelers that don’t compromise on design or performance. “The IN40 and VM4 reflect our unwavering dedication to innovation and our goal to create products that seamlessly integrate with the lifestyle of tomorrow’s consumers,” said Gupta.

The VM4 is designed for personal mobility, while the IN40 is aimed at the B2B market. Both models are available in different variants, featuring 48V and high-voltage 72V electrical systems. Equipped with smart, adaptable vehicle control systems, the models leverage AI to boost performance, personalize the ride, and enhance safety. Additionally, they come with portable and swappable battery packs, allowing for convenient charging with existing infrastructure, the company said.

Creatara asserts that these indigenously designed and developed vehicles are well-suited for both personal use and various business applications. The company has also established a manufacturing facility in Haryana to produce the models.

Prices of both models are yet to be unveiled, but the company noted that the models will be priced in such a way that they are eligible for demand incentives provided by the government.

Creatara, which has a team of 14 people including designers, engineers, and marketing professionals, spent over two years developing their portfolio. The team said they are almost ready with a couple of new electric scooter prototypes, which they are planning to unveil soon.

The startup said that it conducted extensive market research with over 5,000 two-wheeler users while developing the models, which helped them design products that align with the aspirations of Gen Z consumers.

“We don’t want to force our products into the market. We have studied what the consumer wants in terms of performance, look, and trust. So we are delivering an aspirational portfolio, which will cater to all their requirements,” Gupta said.

“Our vehicles are crafted on a versatile modular chassis, allowing each design to seamlessly adapt to a variety of uses, making them as dynamic as the world they serve,” he further added.

Creatara recently raised $1 million in funding led by GEMS Partners for R&D, testing, manufacturing, and distribution of its vehicles. It has also secured grants from the Ministry of Heavy Industries, the Department of Science, and Sona Comstar.
