Mercedes-Benz India, the country’s most coveted luxury carmaker, has unveiled the EQS 580 4MATIC ‘Celebration Edition’—an enhanced version of its flagship electric sedan. Renowned for its class-leading aerodynamics, the EQS 580 continues to lead the charge in India’s Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) revolution.

The ‘Celebration Edition’ commemorates the brand’s growing footprint in the premium BEV segment and the success of the EQS range, which has set new benchmarks in luxury electric mobility. Mercedes-Benz Expands Boutique Luxury Retail with ‘Atelier Experience’ in Adyar, Chennai

Mercedes-Benz has inaugurated the ‘Atelier Experience’ by Sundaram Motors in Adyar, Chennai—its latest boutique luxury showroom in a key metro market. With this launch, the brand now offers bespoke retail experiences in New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

The Adyar facility, Sundaram Motors’ 11th outlet across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, is designed to deliver a personalized and immersive configuration journey under the MANUFAKTUR program. It caters to top-end customers with expert consultations and a focus on exclusivity and craftsmanship.

Spanning 3,800 sq. ft. of covered area on a 7,500 sq. ft. plot, the showroom is strategically located in an upscale neighborhood and can flexibly showcase sub-brands like Maybach, AMG, G-Class, and Mercedes-Benz. Its design allows for easy switching of brand elements to optimize display and customer experience.

This launch is part of Mercedes-Benz India’s ‘go to customer’ strategy, with plans to open 30 new or upgraded luxury touchpoints in CY 2025—19 of them within the next five months.

The showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Santosh Iyer, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, and Mr. Sharath Vijayaraghavan, Executive Director, Sundaram Motors—marking a significant milestone in the brand’s luxury journey.

Beyond vehicles, Mercedes-Benz is expanding its boutique luxury retail presence. Following the success of the exclusive Maybach Lounge in Hyderabad and the G-Lounge in New Delhi, the brand is now introducing the bespoke ‘Atelier Experience’ in Mumbai and Chennai. Here, customers can explore the MANUFAKTUR range of customizations, including physical material samples and a cutting-edge digital configurator.
