Mercedes-Benz launchess Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series in India at ₹4.2 Crore

The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series combines the SL’s iconic silhouette with Maybach’s signature luxury. Powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine delivering 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 260 km/h. Featuring a fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system and 9G automatic transmission, it offers a refined yet dynamic driving experience.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series in India, priced at ₹4.2 crore (ex-showroom, all-India). Customer consultations are now open, with deliveries set to commence in Q1 2026, the company announced.

Blending the iconic SL silhouette with Mercedes-Maybach’s signature luxury elements, the open-top two-seater is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, producing 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm. It boasts a top speed of 260 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.

Equipped with a fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system and a 9G automatic transmission, the Monogram Series promises a dynamic yet refined driving experience, the company stated in a press release.

The SL 680 Monogram Series is offered in two distinct design themes: “Red Ambience” featuring MANUFAKTUR Garnet Red Metallic, and “White Ambience” finished in MANUFAKTUR Opalite White Magno.

Exterior highlights include a chrome fin, an upright Mercedes-Benz star on the bonnet, a Maybach-patterned hood, an illuminated Maybach grille, and rose gold accents in the headlights. The vehicle also comes with a light black acoustic soft top featuring a Maybach pattern in anthracite, along with chrome accents on the side cladding and windscreen frame. It rides on 21-inch forged wheels, completing its elegant yet commanding presence.

Inside, the cabin is adorned with MANUFAKTUR Exclusive Nappa leather upholstery in crystal white, featuring a Maybach-specific floral design. The luxurious interior also includes galvanized seat backrests, silver chrome trim, a fully digital instrument cluster, and an electrically adjustable center display with Maybach-specific start-up animations. The steering wheel, stainless-steel pedals, and door sill trims are also designed with exclusive Maybach elements, enhancing the opulent ambiance.

For enhanced comfort, the SL 680 Monogram Series is equipped with a sound-optimized exhaust system, extensive insulation, comfort-oriented suspension, soft engine mounts, and rear-axle steering, ensuring a smooth and refined driving experience.

Daniel Lescow, Head of Mercedes-Maybach at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, highlighted the brand’s legacy, stating, “For more than a century, Maybach has been synonymous with uncompromising luxury and extraordinary craftsmanship. India has become one of the most important markets globally for the brand.”

The Mercedes-Maybach lineup in India now includes the S 680 Night Series, GLS 600 Night Series, EQS 680 Night Series, GLS, EQS SUV, S 580 limousine, and the newly launched SL 680 Monogram Series.

Starting March 2025, Mercedes-Benz India will introduce the Maybach Icons of Luxury collection across its MAR 20X luxury facilities. The company opened India’s first Maybach Lounge in Hyderabad in September 2024 and its first physical Maybach Icons of Luxury store in Bangalore in January 2025, with plans for additional locations in Mumbai and Delhi.

Marking 30 years in India in 2024, Mercedes-Benz operates a 100-acre production facility in Chakan, Pune, with an investment of over INR 3000 crores—the largest luxury car manufacturing capacity in India. The company has 100+ luxury touchpoints in 50+ cities, including AMG Performance Centres.
