BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s leading New Energy Vehicles (NEV) manufacturer, has partnered with Shoffr, a premium, all-electric, taxi service based out of Bengaluru, to deliver 50 e6 electric passenger vehicles. This landmark partnership further accelerates sustainable transportation in the city. The first set of e6 electric vehicles were delivered to Shoffr, in the presence of notable management leadership team members, including Mr. Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President, Electric Passenger Vehicle Business – BYD India, Mr. Shrirang Joshi, National Sales Head, Electric Passenger Vehicle Business – BYD India, Mr. Vikas Bardia, Founder and CEO – Shoffr, and Mr. Kislay Verma, Co-founder & CTO – Shoffr.
The first phase of this transformative project saw the delivery of 20 state-of-the-art BYD e6 vehicles, which got flagged off in Bengaluru. Over the next one month, BYD India will deliver the remaining 30 vehicles to Shoffr. This is a joint effort from both organisations towards electric solutions highlighting the commitment to sustainable mobility and reducing carbon footprint. This marks a significant milestone for BYD India and Shoffr, as they take a substantial step forward in providing cleaner and more efficient transportation.

India’s first premium electric MPV, the BYD e6, is distinguished as the pioneer in adopting the ultra-safe Blade Battery in the country. Boasting a remarkable 71.7 kWh Blade Battery, it achieves an outstanding WLTC city range of 520kms and a combined range of 415kms on a single charge, making it India’s longest-range eMPV.
The Blade Battery sets new industry standards in safety and reliability, passing rigorous tests without any incidents. BYD e6 supports DC fast charging offering a 30% to 80% charge in just 35 minutes. This spacious vehicle features a class-leading 580 L boot space, a comfortable suspension system, Bosch’s intelligent brake control, and energy regeneration capabilities, all while prioritising safety with airbags, seat belt reminders, and integrated electric powertrain components for a well-rounded driving experience.
