GreenLine deploys 25 LNG-Powered trucks for Flipkart

In the first phase of this partnership, GreenLine will roll out 25 LNG-powered trucks, each equipped with 46-ft containers offering a capacity of 110 cubic meters (CBM).

GreenLine Mobility Solutions has partnered with Flipkart to deploy its fleet of liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered trucks, aiming to reduce carbon emissions in delivery operations.

In the first phase of this partnership, GreenLine will roll out 25 LNG-powered trucks, each equipped with 46-ft containers offering a capacity of 110 cubic meters (CBM). These trucks will transport various e-commerce goods, including business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) loads, across key regional routes. Initially, the deployment will cover routes from the West to the North of India, with plans to expand to North-South and West-South corridors in the future.

GreenLine’s LNG-powered fleet will complement Flipkart’s existing sustainability initiatives, including a growing electric vehicle (EV) fleet that recently surpassed 10,000 EVs. The integration of LNG and EV trucks aligns with Flipkart’s broader sustainability goals, emphasizing reduced greenhouse gas emissions and environmental responsibility.

Anand Mimani, CEO of GreenLine Mobility Solutions, stated, “E-commerce is transforming lives across India, but its environmental impact is also growing. At GreenLine, we see this as a call to action. Through our partnership with Flipkart, we’re making logistics more sustainable, ensuring every delivery contributes to a cleaner, greener future.”

Hemant Badri, SVP & Head of Supply Chain, Customer Experience & ReCommerce Business at Flipkart Group, added, “At Flipkart, sustainability is at the core of our operations. Partnering with GreenLine marks a significant milestone in reducing our environmental impact. By integrating LNG-powered vehicles alongside our EV fleet, we aim to improve supply chain efficiency and contribute to India’s environmental goals. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to green innovation and long-term sustainability.
