Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced that its fleet of 3,100 electric buses, operating across 10 cities, has collectively covered over 25 crore kilometers—equivalent to circling the Earth 6,200 times.
Averaging 200 km per day, these e-buses have significantly contributed to reducing air pollution and promoting greener mass mobility. In total, Tata Motors’ electric buses have helped save around 1.4 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Announcing this accomplishment, Mr. Asim Kumar Mukhopadhyay, CEO and MD, TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited, said, “We are delighted to achieve this landmark of covering 25 crore km with a modern fleet of emission-free electric buses.
