The undisputed Hyundai CRETA becomes India’s top-selling car in March 2025

The Hyundai CRETA continued its strong performance in Q4 FY 2024-25 (Jan–Mar), emerging as India’s best-selling SUV with cumulative sales of 52,898 units. Premium trims proved popular, contributing 24% to total ICE variant sales and 71% to CRETA Electric sales. Additionally, variants equipped with a sunroof accounted for 69% of overall sales, while connected features were chosen in 38% of units sold during the fiscal year.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), the country’s leading premium smart mobility solutions provider, announced that the iconic Hyundai CRETA claimed the title of India’s highest-selling car in March 2025. The SUV registered an impressive 18,059-unit sales, reinforcing its dominance in the Indian automotive market.

Setting new benchmarks for the SUV segment in the country, the Hyundai CRETA also maintained its leadership as India’s best-selling SUV in Q4 of FY 2024-2025 (Jan–Mar), with a cumulative sale of 52,898 units. Cementing its position as a market favourite, the CRETA finished FY 2024-25 as the third highest-selling passenger vehicle in India, with an impressive 1,94,871 units sold, marking a robust 20% year-on-year growth in sales volume, the highest-ever annual sales for Hyundai CRETA since its inception.

This year also marks a significant milestone as Hyundai CRETA completes a decade of winning the hearts of discerning and aspirational customers since its launch in 2015.
