P3 digital services GmbH and Micware Co., Ltd. have announced a strategic partnership to integrate Micware’s LeerosNavi navigation application into SPARQ OS, P3’s Android Automotive OS (AAOS)-based in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) platform.
The collaboration combines P3’s expertise in developing advanced in-vehicle infotainment systems with Micware’s navigation and location-based software capabilities to deliver a seamless, high-performance navigation experience for next-generation connected vehicles.
By pre-integrating LeerosNavi into the SPARQ OS platform, the companies aim to simplify the development process for automotive manufacturers, enabling faster deployment of infotainment systems while reducing integration complexity. The integrated solution is designed to deliver reliable navigation performance and an enhanced user experience within modern digital cockpit environments.
The partnership is expected to help automakers accelerate the adoption of Android Automotive-based infotainment platforms by offering an optimized, ready-to-deploy navigation solution that supports the evolving needs of connected and software-defined vehicles.
Through this new partnership, drivers using SPARQ OS continuously receive updated traffic, map data and point-of-interest information from the cloud to keep their routes and maps current.
LeerosNavi offers highly detailed and reliable map coverage across Japan. Micware’s navigation app leverages expertise in map data processing, route guidance, real-time connectivity, and user-centric design. The solution delivers route search, traffic integration, destination sharing, and next-generation connected and AR-assisted navigation, carefully tailored to Japan’s complex road networks, urban density, and local driving requirements.
“This partnership strengthens SPARQ OS as a future-ready IVI platform by combining our Android Automotive expertise with Micware’s highly innovative navigation technology,” said Marius Mailat, CTO and Managing Director at P3 digital services. “By integrating LeerosNavi directly into SPARQ OS, we’re enabling original equipment manufacturers to deliver a premium AAOS navigation experience with integrated Japan map coverage.”
“By partnering with P3, we are bringing Micware’s navigation expertise into SPARQ OS, a modern IVI system powered by AAOS,” said Kenta Imaida, Representative Director at Micware Navigations Co., Ltd. “We believe that this solution enables automakers to deliver an intuitive, connected, and Japan-optimized navigation experience that meets drivers’ needs and continues to evolve with new functions aimed at enriching users’ travel experiences.”
SPARQ OS is the dynamic and rapidly developing IVI solution developed by P3 based on AAOS, the fastest growing in-vehicle operating system in the world today. SPARQ OS’s cockpit platform includes a diverse app store, smart navigation, digital and personal voice assistant, charging, media and entertainment. It features fully automated over-the-air software and firmware updates, ensuring always-up-to-date functionality and promoting sustainability.
SPARQ OS helps car manufacturers differentiate their vehicles through end-to-end customization, including advanced Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design, service-layer development, and Vehicle Hardware Abstraction Layer (VHAL) integration. Major car, truck, and motorcycle manufacturers already rely on SPARQ OS as their core IVI system, benefitting from P3’s proven automotive innovation.
