Iveco Group announces leadership changes in Powertrain Business Unit

Sylvain Blaise will step down on June 29 to take on the role of CEO at Manitou Group, with Simone Curti set to assume the position of President from June 30.

Iveco Group N.V. has announced a key change in its senior leadership team

Sylvain Blaise, President of the Powertrain Business Unit, will step down from his role on June 29 to assume a new position as CEO of Manitou Group.

Having spent 24 years with Iveco Group, Blaise has held several leadership positions, including leading FPT following the company’s formation as an independent entity in 2022. During his tenure, he successfully guided the Powertrain Business Unit through various industry challenges, delivering consistent performance and strengthening the Group’s overall position.

He will continue in his current role until the end of June to ensure a smooth transition.

The Group also announces that Simone Curti will assume the role of President, Powertrain Business Unit, on 30th June 2026, succeeding Sylvain Blaise. Mr Curti will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will report directly to the CEO of Iveco Group, Olof Persson.

After earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino, Mr Curti began his career with the Company in 2004, holding roles of increasing responsibility and seniority within the Truck and Powertrain Business Units, and currently leading Truck Business Unit commercial operations in EMEA. His extensive experience across the Group and broad industry knowledge range from engineering to quality, industrial platforms, customer management and commercial operations.
