Vinay Pawar named Group CTO of Greaves Cotton amid “Greaves Next” push

With nearly 30 years of experience across automotive electronics, industrial automation, and connected mobility, Pawar will lead technology functions as the company accelerates its “Greaves Next” strategy.

Greaves Cotton has appointed Vinay Pawar as its Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective May 4, 2026, according to a regulatory filing.

Pawar brings nearly three decades of experience spanning automotive electronics, industrial automation, and connected mobility. Over his career, he has held leadership roles at Spark Minda Group and worked with leading global firms such as KPIT Technologies, Continental Automotive, Bosch, and ABB.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, an MBA in Technology Management, and a postgraduate qualification in AI and machine learning.

The appointment is part of broader senior management changes at Greaves Cotton, with Pawar set to oversee technology functions across the company’s diverse business operations. It also aligns with the company’s forward-looking “Greaves Next” strategy, under which it has committed a capital expenditure of ₹500–700 crore over the next five years to drive future growth and innovation.
