The company is also evaluating additional markets across Asia, Africa and other emerging regions. Its expansion strategy is focused on countries offering supportive EV policies, favourable operating economics and growing demand for last-mile mobility solutions.
Nepal Becomes Key Market for Montra Electric
Commenting on the company’s international expansion, Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director, Montra Electric (TI Clean Mobility Pvt. Ltd.), said Nepal marks an important milestone in the company’s transition from a domestic electric mobility player to a global sustainable mobility brand.
Montra Electric considers Nepal an attractive market due to its supportive EV policies, rising fuel costs and availability of affordable hydropower.

Super Auto Designed for Challenging Terrain
Montra Electric said its international strategy is based on duty-cycle-driven product development, with vehicles engineered around the specific operating conditions of each market. The approach is aimed at delivering higher uptime, better efficiency and improved earning potential for operators.
The Super Auto has been developed to tackle challenging road conditions, including steep and uneven terrain. It features high gradeability and Hill Hold Assist, providing improved control while driving on inclines.
The electric three-wheeler is powered by a 9 kWh battery pack paired with a PMSM motor, producing 60 Nm of torque. It offers a claimed range of 150 km on a single charge, a top speed of 55 kmph and a charging time of 4.5 hours.
The Super Auto also features multiple drive modes, allowing it to adapt to different loads and road conditions. According to Montra Electric, the system provides smoother power delivery compared with conventional gear-based vehicles.
