Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced that its popular SUV, FRONX, has crossed the 2 lakh export milestone in less than 38 months, making it the fastest SUV from India to achieve this feat.
Since exports began in June 2023, the Made-in-India FRONX has recorded strong growth in international demand. The SUV reached its first 1 lakh export milestone in less than 25 months and added another 1 lakh exports in approximately 13 months.
The FRONX is manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s Hansalpur facility in Gujarat and is currently exported to nearly 90 countries across global markets, including Japan.
The rapid pace at which FRONX has reached the 2 lakh export milestone highlights its growing acceptance in international markets and strengthens Maruti Suzuki’s position as a major exporter of passenger vehicles from India.
Speaking on the milestone, Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Every vehicle exported by Maruti Suzuki carries the hard work and pride of our people. Together, these vehicles take a piece of Indian manufacturing to nearly 120 countries. FRONX has been a key contributor to Maruti Suzuki’s success in exports. Since FY 24-25, it has been India’s No. 1 exported passenger vehicle and is now shipped to nearly 90 countries. After crossing the milestone of 1 lakh exports in record time, FRONX reached its second lakh significantly faster, underlining its growing demand in the international markets.”
