Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company, has deepened its collaboration with Bangalore-based eMobility service provider Ionage to boost India’s EV charging infrastructure. Announced on September 20, 2024, this partnership aims to enhance the accessibility and convenience of EV charging, contributing to the country’s shift toward sustainable mobility.
Ionage’s platform aggregates charging stations from multiple Charge Point Operators (CPOs), providing EV owners across India with access to a wide network of chargers via a single interface. This integration simplifies the process for EV owners, making it easier to locate and utilise charging stations, the company said in a media release.
BPCL’s BPC eDrive Initiative, launched in February 2022, has played a pivotal role in driving the decision to extend this partnership, with BPCL’s EV chargers now being incorporated into Ionage’s unified platform.
