Greaves Finance, a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, has appointed Mukul Kanchan as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the company announced on Tuesday. In his new role, Kanchan will lead the expansion of the company’s electric vehicle financing platform, ev.fin.
Kanchan will focus on strengthening point-of-sale financing partnerships with electric vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Greaves Group brand Ampere, while expanding the platform’s retail reach. Launched in 2023, ev.fin provides point-of-sale financing for electric vehicles across 86 cities.
Kanchan brings nearly two decades of experience in the financial services sector, spanning corporate finance, lending, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Greaves Finance, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Plum. He holds an MBA in Finance from ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad.
Commenting on his appointment, Kanchan said, “Electric two-wheelers are fast becoming the everyday choice for India’s commuters, gig workers and small businesses, and access to simple, fair credit is often what turns that intent into ownership. I am delighted to join Greaves Finance, and I look forward to scaling the business responsibly.”
