Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB), a part of the Mahindra Group, has released its tractor sales figures for May 2025.
In the domestic market, the company sold 38,914 units in May 2025, reflecting a 10% growth compared to 35,237 units sold in May 2024.
Overall tractor sales, including exports, stood at 40,643 units in May 2025, up from 37,109 units in the same month last year. Exports for the month were recorded at 1,729 units.
Commenting on the monthly performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said: “We achieved domestic sales of 38,914 tractors in May 2025, registering a 10% increase over last year. The early onset of an above-normal Southwest monsoon is a positive sign for kharif sowing. Land preparation for paddy cultivation is already underway. The recent increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy and other kharif crops is expected to uplift farmer sentiment. Additionally, favorable reservoir levels, the government’s projection of record foodgrain production, and the rollout of multiple schemes are poised to support higher agricultural productivity, ultimately driving tractor demand. On the exports front, we sold 1,729 tractors during the month.”
