Design and Platform

The C3 Aircross shares its platform with Citroen’s previous models, such as the C3 and ëC3. It is available in both five- and seven-seating configurations, providing versatility to suit different needs. With an impressive 90% localization, Citroen is making a strong commitment to the Indian market. Additionally, Citroen has announced plans to introduce a third model on the same platform by 2024, further enhancing its presence in India.

Exterior and Interior

The Citroen C3 Aircross embraces design elements from its predecessor, the C3. It boasts an integrated logo on the front grille, a stylish two-layer design with chrome and piano black inserts, Y-shaped LED DRLs, and eye-catching round fog lamps. The rear of the SUV features a spacious tailgate with square taillamps and striking 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, giving it a distinct and contemporary look.

Inside the cabin, the C3 Aircross maintains the layout of the C3 hatchback. It features a user-friendly 10-inch infotainment system with seamless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While automatic climate control is notably absent, the SUV offers both a standard five-seat layout and a three-row configuration. Second and third-row passengers benefit from dedicated AC vents, ensuring a comfortable journey. Furthermore, the C3 Aircross showcases a fully digital instrument cluster with various drive modes, enhancing the overall driving experience.

Performance

Powering the Citroen C3 Aircross is a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, generating a robust 110 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque. The sole gearbox choice is a 6-speed manual transmission, consistent with the C3 hatchback’s specifications. This powertrain promises a thrilling and efficient driving experience.

Competing in the Indian Market

The Citroen C3 Aircross enters a competitive segment in the Indian market, going head-to-head with popular models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. With its attractive pricing, compelling features, and strong commitment to localization, the C3 Aircross aims to carve out its own niche in the Indian SUV landscape.
