Suzuki launches Japanese-Style Management Education Program with Ahmedabad Management Association

Suzuki aims to support the Indian government's 'Make in India' and 'Skill India' initiatives by fostering human resource development in the regions where it operates.

Suzuki Motor Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA) in Gujarat, India, to establish the ‘Suzuki–AMA Centre for Japanese Management.’ This program aims to offer opportunities to study Japanese-style management practices in India. The MoU was signed by AMA President Savan Godiawala and Suzuki President Toshihiro Suzuki.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at an event which was attended by Chief Minister of State of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel, Governor of Shizuoka Prefecture Yasutomo Suzuki, Mayor of Ahmedabad Pratibhaben Rakeshkumar Jain, and Mayor of Hamamatsu Yusuke Nakano.

AMA is a non-governmental organization that provides education in a variety of management areas in cooperation with public institutions and companies. Suzuki has been providing vocational training for manufacturing sites in India. Through the “SUZUKI–AMA CENTRE FOR JAPANESE MANAGEMENT”, Suzuki will provide training on Japanese-style management, Suzuki’s management policy, and labor culture, in cooperation with AMA.

Suzuki will contribute to the “Make in India” and “Skill India” initiatives of the Indian government by developing human resources in the regions where it operates.
