Sonalika records 16,223 tractor sales in April 2026, posts 35.6% growth

Sonalika’s growth is backed by a product portfolio aligned with changing rural demand, where farmers are increasingly focusing on productivity and efficiency amid weather variability.

Sonalika Tractors reported its highest-ever April performance, registering total sales of 16,223 units in April 2026. This marks a strong 35.6% year-on-year growth, outperforming the estimated industry growth of 27% during the same period.

The strong start to FY27 reflects gains in market share, driven by rising demand for farm mechanisation. Factors such as higher foodgrain production and GST-led cost efficiencies have supported growth across the agricultural sector.

Sonalika attributed its performance to a well-aligned product portfolio and effective execution, catering to evolving rural demand influenced by weather variability and increasing focus on productivity. The company currently serves over 19 lakh farmers and operates one of the world’s largest integrated tractor manufacturing facilities, backed by robust in-house R&D capabilities.

Commenting on the performance, Raman Mittal said the strong April results reflect a growing shift toward technology-driven farming. He added that the company’s future growth strategy will focus on product innovation and deeper farmer engagement initiatives.

Sonalika also reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its technology-led offerings, including its Sonalika Gold Series tractors, as part of its roadmap for the current financial year.
