Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched a school infrastructure development project at Government Primary School, Ittamadu, in Bengaluru Rural. The initiative includes four new classrooms and sanitation facilities, benefiting students from five villages while reinforcing the company's long-term commitment to education, community development, and sustainable social impact.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reinforced its commitment to community development and education by commencing a new school infrastructure project at the Government Primary School, Ittamadu, in Bidadi, Bengaluru Rural. The initiative aims to enhance learning environments and improve access to quality education through the development of modern educational infrastructure in rural Karnataka.

The project was formally launched with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Member of Parliament, Bengaluru Rural, along with Ramesh Rao, Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, and other senior company officials.

The Government Primary School at Ittamadu serves students from five neighbouring villages and plays a vital role in providing primary education to children in the region. Under the project, Toyota Kirloskar Motor will construct four new classrooms along with separate sanitation facilities for boys and girls, helping address infrastructure gaps while creating a safer, more comfortable, and conducive learning environment.

The initiative is expected to benefit students from the surrounding villages and positively impact a community of more than 3,000 residents, reflecting Toyota’s continued focus on sustainable community development and strengthening educational opportunities in rural India.

Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Member of Parliament, Bengaluru Rural, said, “The future of our country is shaped in its classrooms, and investing in educational infrastructure is an investment in the nation’s progress. Rural schools need facilities that allow every child to learn with confidence and realize their potential. The initiative undertaken by Toyota Kirloskar Motor at the school in Ittamadu is a meaningful step towards strengthening the educational ecosystem in this region. Such partnerships between industry and society can create lasting change and open new opportunities for future generations.”

Mr. Vikram Gulati, Country Head & Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “At Toyota Kirloskar Motor, we view education as one of the most important foundations for community development. While infrastructure alone cannot shape futures, it can create the conditions that allow every child to learn, grow and succeed. This project at Ittamadu reflects our commitment to the communities around Bidadi and our belief that access to quality educational facilities can make a meaningful difference. We will continue to support initiatives that create long-term value and contribute to the development of future generations.”

Guided by its philosophy of contributing to society through sustainable community development, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has consistently undertaken initiatives focused on education, skill development and social welfare. The company’s educational infrastructure project in Bengaluru South, which aims to benefit more than 15,000 students, and the present initiative in Bidadi reflect its long-term commitment to creating meaningful social impact through partnerships with local institutions and communities.
