Eicher Trucks and Buses has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cityflo to deploy 2,000 buses over the next three years, aiming to strengthen premium intra-city mobility services across India.
The agreement further expands the ongoing collaboration between the two companies and will support Cityflo’s growth in major urban markets. As part of the phased rollout plan, nearly 500 buses are scheduled for deployment during FY27.
Under the partnership, Eicher Trucks and Buses will supply a diverse portfolio of city-focused vehicles, including diesel, CNG, and electric bus platforms. The planned fleet procurement also includes the Eicher Skyline Pro 3011 AC Pushback bus equipped with rear air suspension, designed to enhance premium daily commuting experiences.
The collaboration will focus on improving operational efficiency, maximizing vehicle uptime, and lowering total cost of ownership for fleet operators. The companies also aim to enhance commuter comfort through better air-conditioning performance, reduced noise and vibration levels, improved ride quality, and optimized seating configurations for urban routes.
B Srinivas said the partnership supports broader efforts to increase public transport adoption and reduce congestion in urban areas, while reflecting a shared commitment toward delivering reliable, comfortable, and efficient mobility solutions at scale.
Rishabh Shah noted that both companies had previously collaborated to develop a 27-seater bus platform tailored for urban commuting needs and would continue working together on future vehicle configurations as operations expand.
The agreement also includes integrated service support measures such as on-site assistance, maintenance scheduling aligned with peak operational hours, and an expanded parts and service ecosystem. According to the companies, these initiatives are intended to improve fleet reliability and support Cityflo’s high-frequency urban transit model.
