The SME Chamber of India, one of the country’s leading industry bodies focused on the growth and development of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, has appointed Jhumarmal Tunwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Tunwal E-Motors Limited, as its Vice President.
The appointment recognises Tunwal’s contributions to entrepreneurship, manufacturing excellence, electric mobility and the advancement of India’s MSME ecosystem. Under his leadership, Tunwal E-Motors has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing electric two-wheeler manufacturers, achieving annual revenues of over ₹275 crore while significantly expanding its footprint across the country.
The company has also established two manufacturing facilities under the Government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities, promoting sustainable mobility and creating employment opportunities. The appointment further highlights Tunwal’s role in driving innovation and supporting the growth of India’s electric vehicle and MSME sectors.
As Vice President of the SME Chamber of India, Mr. Tunwal will actively promote entrepreneurship, support MSME development, advocate for progressive policy reforms, encourage technology adoption, facilitate access to finance, and strengthen the competitiveness of Indian enterprises in domestic and global markets. The appointment was announced by Chandrakant Salunkhe, Founder & President, SME Chamber of India and Manufacturers & Exporters Association of India (MEAI).
